a some-bunny and create a rabbit event or class. Stage a rabbit Olympics to match bunny skills to people skills. Jackrabbits can jump about 20 feet. Rabbits run about 18 mph. Make up or retell some rabbit jokes, i.e. “What’s the best way to catch a wild rabbit?” Answer: Stand in the woods and make a sound like a carrot.

Challenge children to write a “tell me why” story, i.e. Tell Me Why the Rabbit Has Long Ears. List some famous bunnies or things named after rabbits or hares.
